Vampires
Conventional legend has it that vampires have a history as old as the Fae but were too clever and wise to have fallen victim to whatever caused the Fae to pass into legend. They are disciplined, hierarchical and able to live covertly among humans.
Vampires are non-human beings created in the particular death of a human corpse.
They are resistant to darkcraft and dreamcraft. They are vulnerable to naked sunlight and can only be killed by a wooden stake to the heart. Vampires are visible in reflections.
Society
Vampires live among but apart from the regular world and have refused governance by the Consortium. Their society is structured around coteries, groups of vampires in a hierarchy. The coteries have territories where they carefully manage their feeding, secrecy, and safety. Some coteries are peaceful and others criminal.
When there is a conflict of territory and behaviour between coteries, a Tribunal is formed by the leaders of nearby coteries in order to examine the situation at hand.
Vampires largely feed on humans but a minority have developed a taste for coblynau, bazzin and caoini. They do not drink banshee. Drinking from a Caliban can be deadly to a vampire.
A minority of coteries have bloodwells, humans who live among them to be fed on. Some wix find feeding pleasurable and will seek a coterie for the purpose.
The odd vampire may choose to live in Craeky Hob, where vampires are welcomed as long as they abide by Hob law.
Talents
Vampire talents are unique to them Capacity varies among individuals but older vampires have a better grip on their skills. They possess impossible speed and stillness, and great strength.

Bat Form
Vampires can turn into a bat at will. New vampires need time to acquire and practice this ability, whilst older vampires are more graceful with transformations.
Telekinesis
They are able to summon and levitate objects. Older vampires can slightly levitate themselves, a skill often used to prevent their footsteps from being heard.
Hypnotism (Thrall)
Vampires can utilise eye contact in order to hypnotise people into believing what they are told, or into following orders. It is more effective on people who lack confidence or who are emotionally vulnerable. Seekers and soothsayers are less susceptible. Caliban cannot be enthralled.
Taste
All vampires are able to detect the presence of substances (alcohol, drugs, etc) in someone’s blood. Experienced ones may develop the knack of discerning more subtle attributes - an iron deficiency, disease, blood curses, etc.
