Shape Shifters

Shape shifters, upon reaching puberty, will spontaneously show signs of this favour - being able to transform into animal forms. This is a highly respected favour and the subject of much folklore and literature.

The shapeshifter's body completely transforms into that of a real animal, but retains their own mind. They have that animal's physical abilities and limitations. A shapeshifter does not gain the instincts or insight of an animal, only its senses.

Only the shapeshifter's body is transformed - no objects or clothing are brought with them.

They say that no matter what shape the shifter takes, there will be some tell about their identity.

Instruction

In order to control the ability, a favoured wix must practice it with a specific animal in the flesh.

They will typically be taught control from a similarly favoured beldam within their coven. If there is none, a beldam from another coven will be asked to tutor them independently.
