Enclaves are areas within the mundane where many wix families reside and where Betwixt business is done. Think in terms of areas like China Town or Little Italy, except enclaves are secret from the mundane. They are dependent on geography.

Some enclaves are urban neighborhoods whilst others are villages. Not all wix families live in enclaves but they may nonetheless have an association with their closest enclave.

Enclaves may be associated with certain Houses. The children of an enclave tend to attend the same coven.

Edinburgh

Little Twist

A large older urban enclave in the city of Edinburgh and like other urban enclaves is somewhat House agnostic.

Candlestick Row

Technically an enclave but more of a commercial district. There are are some residential flats in this neighborhood.

Northumberland

Catswall Bridge

All-wix village focused around the coven of Twelvetrees. This region is strongly associated with House Hadrian.

Newcastle

The Keyes

City enclave in Newcastle closed associated with the large and well-known House Hadrian.

Lancashire

Rural enclaves

There are several rural enclaves in Lancashire such as Lune, Longwick, and Crowcroft. These are associated with the old minor houses of Bailrigg and Lakewood.

London

Thistletwaite

A large enclave encompassing the well-to-do neighbourhoods of North London. Many families here are associated with House of Severn but this enclave is very diverse and includes smaller, less notable houses. Wixes of Thistlewaite don’t always have much camaraderie with each other. There is a lot of inside snobbery, feuds and old drama.

South of England

Silverscale

In Reading, Berkshire. Associated with the Old Burrow coven in nearby Oxfordshire.
