Physical Description

Felix is ever-boyish and will probably seem that way forever. Even grown up his features have a roundness to them. He's got good hair, thick and dark blonde. He isn't particularly fastidious about his clothes or grooming, but does like to look good. He'll do his hair and he'll buy a loud jacket that would call attention. But generally his style is casual and sporty with touches of workwear and from time to time a trouser or boots will put him back home in the countryside.

He's not all that thin, but fit enough from all the football and the time he spends walking from door to door.

Felix's accent is heavily Edinburgh, but his parents are both from Lancashire, so there's a touch of Lanky from time to time.

Everything about his voice and movement broadcast how very much he lives his life on the surface, and always in the moment. He seems comfortable almost everywhere he is.

Personality

Felix's finest qualities will serve him very well if all he wants is to seize each day, make loads of friends, and never be bored. He's friendly, outgoing, likeable, funny, and shameless. He bounces back from hardships quite quickly because there's always a pint at the end of the day.

On the other hand, he speaks his mind, blurts out secrets, lacks introspection, and has no ambition at all. He tends to laugh at what he doesn't understand and can be a template for the majority opinion. He's not particularly academically curious which can outpace his more practical aptitudes when considering how intelligent he is or isn't.

For the most part, Felix is a rule-follower. He comes from a family who walk a bit off the path and so you'll see a sort of innate defiance of authority, but really, Felix is happy to get along. Trouble comes when he's had too much to drink or thinks it'd be a laugh to provoke a Watchie.

Felix is pansexual but he hasn't really thought about it that deeply. Everyone is beautiful, he's up for it; he doesn't understand why it has to be more complicated.

History

The Fowlers moved to Edinburgh when Felix was a baby and run a small apothecary storefront in Candlestick Row. The business is always in some kind of crisis or conflict with the council or with coblyns or with clients. Felix has managed to show his parents that he's a liability in the family businesses and so he's only occasionally called upon to mind the desk.

Felix attended local state schools for primary and secondary, and played a lot of football. He did university for a year on a football scholarship, but some trouble with the Watchers forced him to withdraw. [To be determined.] He did community service in a Doors office in London and liked it so much he took up the trade full time.

Until he was sixteen years old, Felix attended the Red Gate coven in Edinburgh. His first focus was a heavy iron coin which he promptly lost. His next focus was a brass spanner which he misplaced on the job. He's on his third focus (a ring). Each time he's needed a new focus, he's returned to Red Gate and endured the beldam's admonishments with good humor. All concerned thought it was better for Felix to wait on attempting a familiar until he was out of university, and then it just never came about.

Felix has had several relationships and attachments, none of them lasting very long.

Occupation

Felix is a "doorknocker" for the Consortium, which is basically a door inspector and repairman. Under the supervision of a Consortium doormaker, Felix tests and repairs Consortium doors. He hasn't as of yet been trained in making doors, but he's become quite good at figuring out why a door isn't working, using Craft and critical thinking to fix them, and otherwise making sure the doors are in compliance. It's a stable job which pays enough and lets him be constantly on the move. From time to time, he is on-call and gets to go into fancy houses or important places.
